Tom LaSalle. CEO of Tapestry, Tom has a wide-ranging role. His expertise -- earned during a career spanning more than 35 years -- is in project planning, finance, problem-solving, and working directly with governing boards and clients’ officers and staff. Tom acquired his primary knowledge and experience as the founder of LaSalle Management Group and LaSalle Development Group, giving him the opportunity to provide valuable counsel to a cross section of businesses and organizations that are on-the-go.

Mr. LaSalle consults with diversified clients across the nation that include universities, schools, religious communities, health care centers, profit and non-profit organizations, and Native American gaming operations. LaSalle Group acted as development coordinator for Edinborough, an innovative and distinctive 26-acre multi-use project in Edina, Minnesota, as well as the rehab of Nokomis Square Cooperative and Bremer Elementary School, both located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A leader in handicapped and specialized housing, LaSalle Group participated in the development of Seward Square Apartments, Minneapolis and Lewis Park Apartments, St. Paul, Minnesota. In collaboration with Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound, LaSalle Group developed Silver Glen, a 120- unit senior residential community in Bellevue, Washington.

Active in the industry and the community, Tom is a licensed Certified Property Manager® and real estate broker in Minnesota and Illinois. He is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management® and serves on the Aquatennial Ambassador Organization Board. Through the years, has served on the boards of Drake Bank, the University of Minnesota Alumni Association, Gateway Corporation, University YMCA, Sobriety High School, the Minnesota Multi-Housing Association, and the National Apartment Association.

Prior to creating his own companies, in 1975, Tom held management positions with Shelter Development Corporation and Landtech Management Corporation.

Rick Berc.  CFO of Tapestry Management, LLC., Rick started his carrerr as a CPA specializing in tax for Arthur Andersen & Co. in 1967, Rick brings over 45 years experience in accounting to the table.

After leaving Arthur Andersen in 1976, Rick formed Berc & Fox, Limited, an all-purpose CPA firm that operated primarily in real estate.  He was the managing partner until the firm was sold to Baker Tilly in 2007.  Rick stayed on with Baker Tilly and additional 18 months to assure a smooth transition of the client base from Berc & Fox, Limited.

Rick also worked as CFO of Running Aces Harness Track for 6 months to assist in establishing the accounting system following their grand opening in mid 2008. 

In January 2009, Rick tried his hand at retirement.  He recently re-acquired his CPA certificate with the intention of un-retiring!

Tracy Popp.  Compliance Manager for Tapestry Management, LLC.

Tracy has worked with Tapestry Management, LLC for over 6 years; the first 5+ years were spent as a Property Manager then Tracy took on the Compliance Manager position. Prior to coming aboard Tapestry, Ms. Popp was with The Housing Coalition of the St. Cloud Area for over 7 years as the Administrative Housing Manager.

Many of Tracy’s responsibilities include auditing files so they are in compliance with HUD and other federal and state regulations and coordinating processes and procedures with the property managers, regional property managers, and the accounting department.

Tracy is a membership chair for the VFW 6992 Ladies Auxiliary and proudly enjoys helping our veterans. In Tracy’s spare time she enjoys doing things with her family and friends. 

She strongly believes that when working as a team we can accomplish anything!

 

Ronald E. Sellnow. Vice President of Tapestry, Ron has been actively involved in the real estate management and finance industry for over 35 years.  During that time, he has developed a proven record of quality performance, with strong leadership, analytical and organizational skills.  Mr. Sellnow has an extensive background in housing management, with a special emphasis on senior and government assisted properties.

Prior to joining Tapestry Management, Mr. Sellnow served 25 years as Vice President of PEMBCO, a real estate development and management company based in Minneapolis, MN.  At PEMBCO, Mr. Sellnow directed property management operations for all residential and commercial properties.  Under Mr. Sellnow’s guidance, PEMBCO became a highly productive and efficient organization.

Prior to joining PEMBCO, Mr. Sellnow was Vice President of Thies & Talle Management, Inc. located in Edina, MN.  He led property management activities at Thies & Talle through a period of rapid growth.  Properties under contract went from three to over thirty in slightly over three years.

Mr. Sellnow also gained valuable housing related experience while working in the finance and housing management divisions of the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency in St. Paul, MN.

Mr. Sellnow has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Mankato State University, is a licensed real estate broker and holds the Certified Property Manager designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management.  Additionally, he is a member of the Minnesota Multi Housing Association, Minneapolis Board of Realtors and Midwest Assisted Housing Management Association. 

Steve Moore. An Operations Manager who believes strongly in empowerment and shared decision-making, Steve supervises a team of professionals who oversee the hospitality portfolio. He also is in charge of hospitality division accounting and Tapestry corporate accounting as well as other aspects of the corporate office. Steve was a hotel general manager for more than 10 years, and in that role he honed his skills in project budgeting, goals accountability, personnel management, and guest services.

Anne Seaberg. Drawing on more than 30 years’ experience in administrative support, Anne deals with the many changes and challenges the multi-housing and real estate development industries have undergone. She joined the Tapestry corporate family more than 25 years ago. Anne, a firm believer in teamwork and accountability, provides valued support to both clients and co-workers in their quest for success.

Lisa Loge. As Office Manager and Project Coordinator, Lisa has the office running smoothly day after day. She schedules monthly mangers’ meetings and also coordinates with site managers, regional property managers, the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency, and HUD on matters such as rent increases, draws, and contract renewals. A licensed REALTOR® for over ten years, Lisa enjoys helping clients obtain suitable housing, whether renting or buying.

 

Marianne Hughes. Having come to Tapestry with over 20 years’ experience in the accounting field, Marianne is the foundation of our Finance Department.  Marianne is passionate about her job and is a stickler for accuracy. 

Working with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledgers, and Month-End reporting, you can be assured that the information you receive is complete and accurate.   She handles the monthly reporting for 18 properties and works with the auditors for each properties year-end report. 

In her down time, Marianne enjoys spending time with her family on camping trips to various parks and campgrounds in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
